Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Five years ago, I was a single mother with two children to raise and support.  At that time, I was several semesters short of having my college degree.  I had been a "stay at home mom" from the beginning so my job skills were very limited.  This was one of the most frightful times of my life because I needed to finish my education but I was unable to find a job that fit with a traditional classroom schedule.  With a lot of help from my family and friends, I was able to return to school and work on finishing my education.  Not all single parents are blessed to have friends and family that can help them during such a challenging time.  The value of an education to a parent is endless.  An educated parent has an impact on generations to come.  These generations to come are the future of our society.  An education can make or break a single mother who is trying to survive while supporting her children.  Because I have been there myself, this fundraiser hits close to home.  I have chosen to support "Project Women" (www.projectwomen.org) and I am very excited to donate every penny given for this cause.  On June 21st, I will be participating in a 5k run which will benefit Project Women as well as 9 other local programs for women.  Please support me in my goal of raising $500 which I will donate the morning before I run. The benefits for this cause are endless!
