Thank you for visiting the Puma Tribe's "Lemonade 4 Life" Fundraising Page!
We are members of the YMCA Adventure Guides and Princesses Puma Tribe. We range in age from 5 to 9 years old. This is the 3rd year we will host a lemonade stand with our fathers as a community service project to help kids with cancer.
Our first lemonade stand in 2005 inspired other tribes to join in the effort. Last year, almost 20 tribes in the Jacksonville, Florida area held lemonade stands on the same day. Together we raised $11,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand and the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, an organization that supports local families during their child's cancer treatment.
One of our tribe members, Lina Rak, is a survivor of Stage IV Neuroblastoma - the same cancer that Alex Scott fought so bravely. 20 years ago, neuroblastoma was almost always a fatal diagnosis, but advances in research have brought hope. However, there is still so far to go. Even today, neuroblastoma only has a 30-40% survival rate.
On Saturday, May 3, from 2-6pm Adventure Guides and Princesses will be serving up lemonade - and HOPE! - at over 20 Jacksonville area Publix SuperMarkets. All proceeds from Lemonade 4 Life will benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand and the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.
If you're not able to stop by our lemonade stand at the Johns Creek Publix (off CR 210) on May 3, please consider having a cup of "virtual lemonade" right now! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Thank you and BIG HOW! from the Puma Tribe.
