You can help generate tens of thousands of dollars to support vital cancer treatment, locally. 

You can be among the scores of cyclists who will come together on August 12, to join as one for this necessary cause.

Cyclists in the 4^th annual charity ride will choose a 25, 50 or 75 mile course that tours southern RI and parts of Connecticut along tree-lined roads with gently rolling terrain. Not a cyclist? There are many volunteer opportunities available.

Everybody is encouraged to set a goal of $250 or more, and all riders are expected to raise or donate at least $100 in support of their effort. It is this fundraising effort that makes your participation have such a tremendous impact on the community.

There are incentives for raising funds:

• All participants who raise or donate $500 or more will be recognized as members of the 2012 Peloton Pack, receiving recognition at the event and a substantial discount on the 2013 ride.
• The participant and team that raise the most money win prizes
• Top fundraisers will be invited to participate in a check presentation ceremony when the RRR funds are awarded to local hospitals
• The team/company with the most participants will be honored by having a contribution made in its name to a local cancer center, which the team/company can help select.

All cyclists will receive a custom RRR cycling jersey. Register by July 1, to ensure we have this year's jersey available in your size, at the event.

During registration, firstgiving.com allows you to make a contribution in support of your own ride. This is an important first step in raising money from other people. By doing so, you can invite them to join you in supporting local cancer treatment, rather than simply asking for their money. If you are eligible for one of the discounts, this is a great opportunity to put the savings to good use for the community.

Once registered, you will receive a once-per-month (or so) update, sent only to registered participants. They will contain important event news, updates on participation/fundraising numbers and also fundraising tips and suggestions. It is important that you remain subscribed to this email list, because as the ride approaches, this will be how necessary information is delivered to you.

Online registration closes on July 31. Registration will be open the day of the event, for $180.
