Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.  This is our second year joining in on the Autism Projects - Imagin walk.  I know I speak for many families when I say that the Autism Project is a wonderful resource for people & families who experience the diagnosis of an Autisic Spectrum Disorder.  I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have them to turn to when our son was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome / Sensory Processing disorder.  The training classes were especially helpful in our understanding of Autism and how to help our son.  

     Autism is a  pervasive developmental disorder that is on the rise.  It effects a child every 20 minutes.  It is more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined.   Unfortunately, our teachers and teachers aides know very little about how to work with and  teach our children and they need our help.   Last year we helped our son's preschool raise over $3000, sending  his teacher for free  training which she found to be very valuable.  This year, team -  Moms' for Stehphen Olney School , is determined to raise $8000.   This goal will entitle up to 30 teachers a free 5 week course on autism.   It is a huge goal.  I know that together we can do it!  By donating today, you help our community,  you educate our teachers & help our kids for years to come!
