I am running the 2009 Boston Marathon for an organization called Bottom Line (www.bottomline.org), which helps low income and first-generation students get into college, graduate from college and go far in life. By providing one-on-one guidance from the beginning of college application until college graduation, 98% of Bottom Line students have been accepted to college and 73% have graduated in six years or less!

Many of you know that I ran my first marathon (Boston, no less!) last year for another charity. The mission of Bottom Line really resonated with me. As soon as I heard they were putting a team together I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

I am really excited about running Boston again and having the opportunity to be part of such a great cause. But as our running coach says, nothing significant was ever accomplished alone -- and I need your support!
