..........RUN!
In a word (or 49), this is what we will be doing on World Run Day! World Run Day is on November 9th, and it's a day that anyone, anywhere in the world can run any distance to raise money for any charity of their choice. We will be running the freedom trail (2.5 miles) through Boston, and raising money for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. This website raises money towards our fundraising goal of $500. We've taken it upon ourselves to make your donations interesting .... all of the listed amounts correspond with the 16 stops on the Freedom Trail!
1. Boston Common - $16.34
The Boston Common dates back to the year 1634.
2. Massachusetts State House - $50.00
When the State House was built the site had to be lowered 50 feet to allow for construction.
3. Park Street Church - pick an amount that a friend donated, and match it.

7. Old Corner Bookstore Building - $63.40

8. Old South Meeting House - $12.16
The meeting held in this building On December 16th, 1773 led to the Boston Tea Party.
9. Old State House - $7.18
On July 18th, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was read from the balcony.
10. Boston Massacre Site - $5.00
Five colonists were killed by the British in the Massacre.
11. Faneuil Hall - $19.00
The original building was standing for 19 years before it caught fire and had to be reconstructed.
12. Paul Revere House's - $20.00
Paul Revere travelled twenty miles on his famous Midnight Ride.
13. Old North Church - $200
"One if by land, two if by sea" ... the lanterns were hung here to warn of the British fleet.
14. Copp's Hill Burying Ground - $27.20
There are 272 tombstones in this burial ground.
15. U.S.S. Constitution - $42.00
This ship has won 42 battles.
16. Bunker Hill Monument - $29.40
There are 294 steps on this monument. Maybe if enough people donate for this stop we will sprint up the stairs as the end of our run....preferably with some one following us carrying an old school boom box and blaring the theme from Rocky.
If you decide to donate, please include your email address for a creative thank you note! Please also forward this link to anyone you think may be interested...and thanks for your support!!!
