I have been participating in the Walk for Lupus since year 2000. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body turns on itself by attacking healthy tissues and organs causing inflammation. There is no cure for lupus.

I was diagnosed with lupus in November 1997.

I am asking for your support in monetary donations to raise funds to assist the Lupus Alliance of America in their goal to find a cure for lupus. Money raised for this walk will be used to promote public awareness and education about lupus.  These donations will also support research into the causes, treatment and find a cure for lupus.

I know times may be hard for many of us during these changes in our economy. I am asking you to give what you can, if you can.
