Be a fan of excitement, chills and goodwill: Support my Polar Bear Plunge!

They say that 'everything happens for a reason' and I believe this to be true.  Our family was given an amazing gift two years ago, when my granddaughter Ella Rose was born.  You could say that Ella has Down syndrome, because she does.  Ella also has so many additional 'syndromes', related to her Down syndrome.  They are Unconditional Love syndrome, the Extraordinary Giggles & Flexibility syndrome, and one of my personal favorites, the Look How Cute I Am syndrome. The one I hate to admit most is the, I Have My Paw-Paw Wrapped Around My Finger syndrome.  We are so fortunate to have Ella in our lives. She never meets a stranger, is outspoken and always seems to put a smile on everyone’s face.  By supporting my plunge into the frigid waters of Lake St. Louis, you are also supporting my granddaughter's future endeavors in the Special Olympics.  Ella is not yet able to thank you herself, so please allow me to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

It is also the most efficient way to donate to me, so please donate now!  About the Polar Bear Plunge: This "unbearable" event is a unique opportunity for individuals, businesses and organizations to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping, diving or crawling into the sparkling, frigid waters of Missouri. Since its inception 13 years ago, 6,263 Missourians have taken the plunge in lakes across the state, raising $1,304,669. If you're smart enough to not make the splash yourself, please be a fan by making a pledge to me!
