Dear Friends,
As Foster Coordinator for BROOD, I have the distinct pleasure of helping to rehabilitate homeless bassets. Over the years, I have fallen in love many times as each new hound enters BROOD's care. I have also had to make heartwrenching decisions to send some to the bridge because BROOD did not reach them in time to save them from the ravages of neglect.
This page is dedicated to the memory of all the wonderful bassets who passed through our lives, knowing, if only for a moment, the soft gentle touch and quiet whispers of love, when they had been discarded or lost. To all the hounds, through the dedication of BROOD volunteers and supporters, who will find love and comfort in safe forever homes. To Humphrey, Hubert, Thumper and Frankie all gone to the bridge to soon and to Penny, Billy, Lucy, April, Ben, Jerry and Zach, my current BROOD adoptees and foster failures who have all taught me the meaning of true love and survival.
Through your kind tax deductible donation we will be able to continue to rescue these gentle wonderful, joyous hounds. Please help, your gift will make a difference.
BROOD is an all volunteer rescue group, all donations are used to provide veterinary care and kennel space for our hounds in transition from shelter to foster or forever homes.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in support of the 2009 BROOD Basset Ramble on May 30 at Fido's Friends Thurmont MD. Join us for a day filled with Tour de Basset Fun! Check out our website at www.BROOD-va.org
