When night falls in Boston, 6,200 people have no place to call home. Many of these men and women turn to Pine Street Inn for help, and each is welcomed as a guest. Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn is New England's leading resource for homeless and formerly homeless individuals. Pine Street serves 1,200 men and women each day through street outreach, emergency shelter, job training, and affordable housing.

Dear Friends and Family,
I invite you to help me raise money and awareness for the Pine Street Inn of Boston, New England's largest resource for homeless men and women, by pledging to the Third Annual Pine Street Inn Knit-A-Thon. Though best known for its emergency shelters, Pine Street became one of the first organizations to implement supportive housing for homeless individuals.
Many Boston-area knitters and I will join together Sunday, November 8th to assemble our 9 x 9 inch pre-knitted squares into blankets, which will be presented to the tenants of the Pine Street Inn residences. I anticipate knitting 10 squares for the event. You can donate on a per-square basis, e.g. 10 squares x $1.00 = $20.00, or feel free to make the donation of your choice. Thank you in advance for your help and I invite you to visit the Pine Street Inn's website at www.pinestreetinn.org for more information.
With thanks,
Lucia
