On Saturday May 15th 2010 the Luis Rojas Foundation hosted the Rojas Cup at Chelsea Piers in New York. The money raised through the events on the day and this website are for after school soccer programs in New York schools that promote health and discipline through sport.
If you are unable to attend I'm sorry, as you missed a fantastic weekend of soccer, friends and family, but the tournament went well and everyone had a great time. It's not too late though, we're still taking donations, and appreciate any amount you can spare, as it goes to a great cause. As one of the principals said Saturday evening, this foundation helps a school where 86% of the kids are on food programs, and over 3 out of 5 are living with extended family or foster care. Soccer provides a program for the children to enjoy a team building sport, while keeping fit. Thank you for your contribution.
After donating you will receive an email confirming your donation. The email can be used as a receipt for tax deductions in the US.
Thanks to everyone for their support.
*First Giving is a great service and helps small not-for-profits with donation pages. To ensure full disclosure the company takes 7.5% of the donation for it's services, and the rest of the donation is given to the Luis Rojas Foundation.
