The 16th Annual Walk-Along for Lupus was a huge success. What a walk day we had this year! So far we have over $215,500 and counting! Those who could not make the walk are bringing in their donations through the mail and at our office, so the numbers should go up every day.
We are absolutely humbled and deeply appreciative to all of the people who braved the cold, wind and rain to Walk-Along for lupus! So many people showed up with smiles on their faces, donations in their pockets and dedication to the cause in their hearts! We truly have a great group of dedicated supporters and we cannot thank you enough.
A special thank you to Greg-T who was a trooper, walking through the rain with our walkers and making sure everyone had a great time! To the NY Islanders for coming down and bringing Sparky, everyones favorite Mascot! And to our great Sponsors who helped everyone have fun with hand-outs and smiles, including Fusco, Brandenstein & Rada, Sperry Credit Union, The Feinstein Institute and North Shore LIJ.
A very, very, very special Thank You to all of our Walk Volunteers! Everyone of you went above and beyond the call of duty and did it with style and grace. Because of the weather we had to go with last minute contingency plans that changed the whole layout of the walk and every one of our volunteers adapted and did whatever they were asked and did it well. Thank you so much, we could NEVER have the walk without all of you!
