Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary

Start Fundraising

Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary is the largest, no-kill Sanctuary in the Midwest and is dedicated to finding loving homes for abused, abandoned and neglected dogs. MAS was founded by The Azzar Family in August of 1999 after the passing of their beloved family dog, Mackenzie.

Mackenzie's has the capacity to house up to 130+ dogs. As space allows, it is Mackenzie's policy to assist other animal welfare organizations by taking in dogs that may otherwise be euthanized.

Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary is federally recognized as a 501c3 non-profit organization. MAS is funded solely by private donations and fundraisers such as the Annual Fall Walk-a-thon. MAS does not receive any state, local or federal funding.

Our Mission at Mackenzie's is to:
• provide and find loving homes for abused, abandoned and neglected dogs
• spay/neuter our rescued dogs to stop the cycle of unwanted litters
• assist in public education for the betterment of our local animal community
• and to maintain the highest standards of care for the animals, including veterinary care.

Mackenzie's is currently raising funds for an on-site veterinary clinic. Your contributions and support of the 4th Annual Fall Walk-a-thon will help make that dream come true!!!
