Hi, if you don't know me yet, my name is Madalyn(Maddy) and I was just recently diagnosed with SLE. After a lifetime of knowing that something was wrong, I can't say that I am overjoyed to have this diagnosis. I am, however, determined not to be just another Lupus statistic. My family and I plan to battle this disease head on with all we've got. I will not let Lupus keep me from doing somersaults with my daughter, Bella, nor will I let this disease come between myself and my wonderful husband, David. This is my first year doing the Lupus walk, so wish me luck! I would like to thank the most supportive neighbors in the world; I couldn't have wished for a better team by my side.
