Hello family and friends!  First of all,  thank you so much for visiting my personal fundraising page!  I am very excited to say that I will be participating in the Miracles in Motion Marathon for the Phoenix Children's Hospital.  As part of the program I will be running 13 miles for an honor patient, Meghan D. She is currently battling juvenile diabetes, which hit close to home for me as well, since I have several relatives struggling with diabetes.

Meghan is a very sweet 10 year old whom was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes in August 2005.  She spent 3 days in Phoenix Children's with her family by her side so that they could learn how to care for her, how to check her blood glucose, how to give her shots of insulin, and learning how to figure out how much insulin she needs for each meal and snack.  She goes to the Children's Diabetes Center at PCH once every 3 months for a  checkup and is now using an insulin pump. She has to poke her finger 8 to 12 times every day to check her blood sugar level and then gives herself insulin through her pump.  

Each member of our team has a fundraising goal of $1500, which will be given to the Phoenix Children's Hospital to minimize medical costs for their patients.  I do need to reach my goal of $1500 by Nov. 15th in order to participate, so I need all the love and support I can get.  Remember there is no such thing as giving too little or too much.  EVERY PENNY COUNTS!
