Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a 70-acre, non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, donated attractions tickets, meals and more for a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation. With the help of many generous individuals, corporations and partnering wish-granting organizations, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 85,000 families from all 50 states and over 60 countries. Many years ago there were jogging trails around the Hollywood Tower Hotel at MGM Studios. In September 1994 the jogging trails were shut down shortly after up and coming movie actress Shirley Malone and her husband mysteriously disappeared.
On October 27, 2007 the trails will reopen for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K. Nathan and the Magical Mountain team will be retracing the path that Shirley and her husband took many years ago. What nightmares will await The Magical Mountain team?
Will they suffer the same fate of the Malones? What would make them want to participate in a race they may never come back from? The simple answer is to raise funds for a very special organization called Give Kids The World, (GKTW).
Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Familes are provided accommodations at the GKTW whimsical resort, attractions tickets, meals and more for a cost-free week-long fantasy vacation.
I've been asked many times why I’ve chosen Give Kids the World (GKTW) as an organization to support. The answer is quite simple – GKTW creates magical memories that will last a lifetime not only for the special children but their parents and families.
