The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio advances diversity, challenges assumptions and advocates for understanding through education and training. Founded in 1927 as the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the Diversity Center is currently part of the National Federation for Just Communities, a network of twenty regions across the country.
This fundraising effort supports this year's Walk & Rock. The Diversity Center's 7th annual diversity Walk, Rock & Run unifies communities around Northeast Ohio while raising awareness of diversity issues. Proceeds support the operation of The Diversity Center's youth education and diversity leadership programs. Since the Diversity Walk's inception in 2003, The Diversity Center has served over 40,000 students and over 500 school groups, teaching Northeast Ohio's children how to appreciate diversity, fight bias, bigotry and racism, and become change agents in their schools and communities.
