Our personal message:

This year I've had the good fortune of being chosen to run for the 2009 CYCLE Kids Boston Marathon team.  I’m excited to take part in the world’s oldest marathon and a feel privileged to be raising money for such a great cause.  Biking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, from BMX as a child to mountain biking as an adult. Biking has brought me fun, excitement, lots of exercise and the chance to meet my wife.  As a new father, I hope to provide my son with these same opportunities.  Unfortunately, not all children l get the chance to experience the joy of riding a bike.

Did you know?

  • Due to poor nutritional habits and insufficient physical exercise, the life expectancy of children today is less than ours
  • More than 85% of children do not get enough exercise
  • One in three American children is overweight
  • One quarter of all children under the age of 12 are at risk of developing diabetes

Your support of CYCLE Kids will help schools and community organizations teach children habits that encourage physical, mental, and emotional well being, bring communities and institutions together to nurture our children, and helps combat childhood obesity. Most importantly, you will give children a gift of knowledge they will have for the rest of their lives.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

I'm happy to say that I was able to finish my first Boston Marathon in 4:41.  I couldn't have done it without everyones help and support!  The race was a huge challenge for me personally as it required a significant time commitement to train and fundraise during a very busy period of my life.  In case you haven't heard my second son was born just 5 weeks before the race.  The thrill of running down Boylston street lined with thousands of cheering fans is a moment I will never forget.  Thank you again to everyone who supported my fundraising efforts. Without you,  it wouldn't have been possible.
