Our personal message:

Hi!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  I am thrilled that you took the time to get involved in supporting a cause that is very dear to my heart.  I am overly excited that this is the VERY FIRST EVER, WILSON'S DISEASE WALKATHON!!

The donation that you make means so very much to me.  Thank you!   Bill and I will be walking in Manhattan on April 29th at 9am.  Anyone that wants to join us is absolutely invited!!

Mark Whittier, my brother at age 23, died in Sept 1995 of Wilson's Disease.  Wilson's Disease is a genetic disease.  It went undiagnosed by doctors in Mark's case.  But Mark's spirit is still very much alive in my heart and is a part of everything I do within my life.  I know that I am a better person because of him and I know that many of you have also expressed the same feelings about Mark's impact on your life.

For those of you questioning, Mark is the one in the middle.  Ha Ha.  Yes, I realize this is a completely goofy photo, however I felt that a goofy one, really helped to remember Mark's spirit in a fun way!   I debated for a long time on which photo to choose.  There are so many with friends and family that are just so much fun, and I wish that they'd allow me a slideshow on here to include memories of those of you that knew him personally.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.  Also, anyone that wants to let their family, friends, coworkers and doctor contacts know about this page, please Promote this Page and share with others.

Many thanks for your support.

Hope that you will educate yourself and others, (as well as doctors), about Wilson's.  Please go to:  www.wilsonsdisease.org

I want to also take this opportunity to thank Bill for all of his support over the years.  I will never forget when you ran that marathon about 10 years ago after Mark died, and all the $ we raised on our own for Wilson's because of your tremendous efforts.  Your support has meant the world to me!

Please let us know how things are going for you.  You can email us at either email:  julie.bill@comcast.net is most widely used for family, OR julia.whittier@comcast.net is mainly used for business purposes, but either one will reach us.

With Love,

Julie Whittier
