This walk/run 5K event is the 7th annual in Sugarland, TX.  This will be my 3rd year participating.  This year rather than walking, I'm volunteering my time to help make this event happen. 

There is no cure for Huntington's Disease to-date and this race/walk is to raise money for research to find a cure! 

Huntington's Disease (HD)is a fatal, neurological brain disorder that affects 1 in 10,000 Americans, it typically strikes between the ages of 30-50 but also affects children. HD robs an individual of their ability to speak, talk, and to reason. There are an estimated 55,000 in just Texas alone affected by Huntington's either as someone at risk, a caregiver, or the patient themselves. Proceeds from this event will benefit HD research at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and UT Southwest Medical Center" as well as local education and support services.

With the economic price increases in food and gas, I'm aware your money is being stretched thinner, so, whatever amount  you are able to donate will be very much appreciated!
