A non-profit stand-alone organization, the New Hampshire Humane Society motto “speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves” succinctly defines the mission. Funds from loyal advocates keep the doors open. A new initiative to provide spay/neuter services for anyone applying begins soon, SNAP Spay Neuter Assistance Program will make low cost sterilization available to all pets in the Lakes Region and beyond. In the meantime, support the shelter through the one day national push to alleviate over population SPAY DAY February 27th 2007. Even small donations will help underwrite this initiative.
WHAT IS ZUMBATHON? How thrilling to be able to link up with so many in the community, all kinds of people, and, in the process, benefit a worthy cause: New Hampshire Humane Society, partnered with Summit Health of Belmont New Hampshire www.summithealthnh.com will host the first ever ZUMBATHON at Gilford Elementary School, Gilford, New Hampshire, on Saturday May 9. Starting at 10.00am. for 2 ½ hours participants will warm up, learn new steps and exercise to the melodic beat of Latin music. 100% of the pledges and registration fees will be gifted to the animal welfare agency in Laconia, New Hampshire Humane Society.
