Hi everyone!  It’s me, Matthew.  I’m asking for your help in soliciting donations to benefit a wonderful organization that I am part of – the Flower City Down Syndrome Network.

Last year, my mom worked hard (bribing and threatening people) for donations and we raised over $2,000.00!!!

       THANK YOU to all of you for being so generous to me and my family.

Mom said that pledges came from not only the Rochester area, but Buffalo, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, Connecticut and even as far as Canada!!!

We were able to raise the most money for the FCDSN.  Mom made t-shirts with my face plastered all over the back and over 68 of my special friends/family walked on my behalf proudly wearing my picture on their shirts.  My face was everywhere!!  The Walk was held on a beautiful Fall Sunday afternoon – and a little over 500 people showed up to walk. 

This year, on Sunday, October 5, 2008, I’ll be proudly leading my family and friends once again in a one-mile walk around North Ponds Park in Webster, New York to help raise money for the Flower City Down Syndrome Network.

The competition is on and people are already on there way to getting generous donations.  Won’t you please help me – and the FCDSN - win!!!

My mom has seen firsthand the importance of this all-volunteer organization, the hard work that people put into its success and positive impact it has had on our family and the community.
