Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership (MBHP) is Massachusetts’ largest regional provider of rental assistance and housing supports. MBHP provides 7,600 low-income households each year with rental assistance and supports more than 4,300 landlords in maintaining their units as affordable properties. Thousands more benefit from our range of housing services and we respond to 10,000 housing inquiries annually. MBHP serves Boston and 29 surrounding communities.
At MBHP, we know that many families and individuals face barriers to finding and sustaining decent, affordable homes. We address these barriers by offering services that help keep people housed. Whether it's securing a discounted rate on utilities, finding an apartment that is appropriate for someone with a disability, or helping to prevent an eviction, MBHP employees are experts in creating housing solutions. These services make the difference in stabilizing a family's housing and preventing homelessness.
Today, MBHP’s mission is to ensure that the Boston region’s low- and moderate-income individuals and families have choice and mobility in finding and retaining decent affordable housing. All of our programs and initiatives are designed to encourage housing stability, increased economic self-sufficiency, and the enhanced quality of the lives of those we serve. To achieve our mission and to promote efficient service delivery, we work collaboratively with a broad array of service providers and neighborhood-based organizations.
