We adopted Meeka from the Humane Society during Christmas in 2006. when she was 8 weeks old.
We soon learned it was her dream to be part of the El Rey Fido Royal Court and represent the shelter that saved her life. First, she learned to crawl under a blanket and walk around pretending it was a Fiesta robe. Then she would refuse to come until we called her "Princess Meeka." When we go on walks, she stops and stares into jewelry store windows, drooling at the tiaras. She knows how to "take a bow" deeper than a Southern debutante.
I think it's her time. She just needs your help to do it. Look into those baby browns and try to refuse making a donation.
Princess Meeka wants you to know that donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

Meeka's proud parents
