Description: MEHS works diligently to improve the lives of animals by providing humane care and treatment, returning lost animals to their owners, and seeking suitable homes for animals without owners.

Mission: Since 1986, services at MEHS have been dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, the provision of appropriate care and medical attention to and disposition of animals committed to its care, the extension of humane education, and the encouragement of animal population control.
