Miles for Melanoma 5K Run & Fitness Walk in Memory of Andrea Sheridan
Thank you for your interest in the 3rd annual Miles for Melanoma 5K in memory of Andrea Sheridan. Andrea passed away on May 28, 2009 just two and a half months after being diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma. The primary purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the deadly skin disease Melanoma. All funds raised will be donated to the Melanoma Research Foundation to aid in fighting this disease.
Click "Register" now to create your own fundraising page. Tell your friends and family about the need for research, why it matters, how you are doing something to help, and ask them to make a donation. Your personal story will encourage them to support you.

The run/walk starts from 34th Street Beach and will proceed South to just past 49th street. The turnaround point will be marked with cones. Participants will then return North to 34th Street Beach. The entire event will be on the hard sand at low tide.
Timing services will be provided by Athletes' Korner Sports Timing Systems. We will have a raffle open from 9:00 am until the event begins at 10:00 am. Winners will be announced following the conclusion of the race.
