My personal message:
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Walk for Food Allergy event on October 22.
Our daughter Carson has a severe food allergy. When she was about a year old, she was diagnosed as dairy allergic. At first, we thought to ourselves "Gosh, so she can't drink milk?" We had no idea that having a food allergy can be so difficult to manage, or so dangerous. As Carson gets older, she understands more about not being able to have cow's milk, but doesn't always understand why she can't eat the same snacks or treats as her friends.
Because I have learned so much about how lives can be impacted by a food allergy, I am so excited to help show my support for an organization that supports research to cure food allergies. I hope I can help one family avoid the fear that a little bite might really hurt or kill their child.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
