Give Hope a Shot this Holiday Season...
Get "Quarantined!"
The Problem
Each year, millions of children across the United States are protected by something most of us take for granted. Vaccinations. But what if you lived in an area of the world where access to vaccines was not readily available? Imagine losing your four year old son or daughter to a disease that could have been prevented by a vaccine costing less than twenty dollars.
The Facts
- In 2002, approximately 1.4 million children under the age of five died as a result of diseases that are preventable by vaccines currently recommended by the World Health Organization.*
- Many lifesaving vaccines cost less than twenty dollars per dose.
How You Can Help - The Metro Quarantine
The Metro Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, is dedicated to providing high quality education and outreach related to infectious diseases. The Metro Quarantine is a fun way to help The Metro Foundation by putting yourself in a virtual “quarantine” and asking friends, family and co-workers to get you out by helping you reach your fundraising goal. All the money you raise will help provide volunteer physicians with lifesaving vaccines for underserved populations domestically and abroad.
