Dear Friends and Family,

I am walking in Henrico Humane Society's 2k 4 Paws Dog Walk and would appreciate your support.  This year, I'm walking in memory of Bailey and Shaina, both of whom I've lost in the past 6 months.  Bailey was a HHS alumni, and the light of my life.  The mission of our organization is to find homes for animals like Bailey, who had been abandoned.  These dogs and cats get a second chance at life, and their new owners get the priviledge of loving an amazing creature.  Shaina was also homeless when I adopted her over 17 years ago.

Please consider helping me raise money so HHS can continue its rescue efforts.  Without donations and fundraising events, the organization could not continue to save the 500 dogs and cats it does every year.  To learn more about the wondferful things Henrico Humane Society does, or for more details about the 2k 4 Paws Dog walk, please visit www.henricohumane.org.

For those of you living in the Richmond area, please consider joining my team and coming out to the walk by clicking "Join this team".  There is a $25 registration fee for walkers 12 and older (you don't have to have to have a dog to participate!).  There will be music, vendors and lots of fun activities going on before and after the walk.  You can even make your own fundraising page and help raise funds by asking your friends and family to support you. 

For those of you living outside of the area or otherwise not able to participate in the walk, please consider making a pledge to support my team and Henrico Humane Society.

HHS is run entirely by volunteers who devote hundreds of hours each year to our cause.  I've personally volunteered for over 10 years, and it's been an incredibly rewarding experience.  If you could spare a few minutes to make a donation, or a few hours to join in the walk, I'd really appreciate it!
