Dear Family and Friends,
As you know, I retired a couple of years ago after 27 years as Executive Director at Orange Grove Center. I have stayed involved and obviously continue to care deeply about the important services provided to the children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The center is now conducting a capital campaign to raise funds to upgrade its facilities and expand some of its programs including those for the ever increasing needs of persons with Autism.
The Orange Grove Board has asked me to head the staff portion of the campaign. The real heroes at Orange Grove are the staff; they dedicate themselves daily to improve the lives of those they work with. Most of them, as you might suspect, do not earn a lot of money working for a charitable organization. I have encouraged them to reach out to their families and friends who understand and appreciate their efforts and may find a way to honor them with a donation. Nothing would make me more proud then to see our staff raise significant funds. This would not only help with the overall campaign, but just as importantly honor their heroic work.
As the leader of the staff effort, I'm asking you to consider a gift, no matter what size, to help me and my colleagues in something we believe in so strongly. If you have any questions or want more information on our campaign, you can visit the Orange Grove Center website or contact me directly.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. If you prefer to send a check or consider a gift over a period of months or even years you can contact me or Orange Grove Center.
Many thanks for your support and feel free to forward this to anyone who you think might want to help this important campaign.
