Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am running in honor of my Dad- a 14 yr Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma & 7+ yr Stem Cell Transplant Survivor. He is my inspiration.
I am hoping to surpass last year's attained goal of $3,500- running once again with the Gilda's Runners team. We are all fundraising for Gilda's Club Metro Detroit- a free cancer support community for everyone affected by cancer.
Some of you may already know that I was injured last year during my training for the marathon. This is a "grudge" match of sorts~ once again participating in the Detroit Free Press Marathon running events.
The symbolism carries through to the mission of my running as well. While I love working at Gilda's Club~ I am frustrated that cancer itself still continues and thus the need for a free cancer support community persists. Please help me to keep that RED door open- ensuring that no one ever has to face cancer alone.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! While I am confident I can complete my running event, I need your help to reach my fundraising goals.
*** Update~ Jacob and Ethan are running their first 5K on race day too!
Thank you to my off-line donors as well~ including:
The Carty's- $40, Hana Karcho $500, Michael Radner $524, Kniahynycky's $50, Mike & Karen Polcyn (mom & Dad) $500, Linda Phillips $10, Marcia Gershenson $50, Kristen Bernat $50. Kristen West $20, Callans $200, & Cathleen Johnson $90
Peace, Michelle
