Walking miles to build awareness and find a cure...

We invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual Miles for Melanoma of Delaware 5K Walk/Run.  This event was made possible by two young melanoma survivors Michelle Rigney and Anna Marie Farro, who came together to help spread awareness of melanoma. On June 17, 2008, Michelle lost her courageous battle with melanoma.  Anna Marie was diagnosed at Stage III in August, 2006 and has completed a year of Interferon and currently remains cancer free. Her goal is to keep this dream alive and continue with what they both began.  Anna is joined by Michelle's and her family and friends, other melanoma survivors (Mary Ohara, Donna Smith) and their supporters, and many family and friends of melanoma warriors from the Delaware region.

This event will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Riverfront, Wilmington, DE.  The event will raise funds and awareness, while providing an atmosphere of family fun – including raffles, kid’s activities, refreshments, entertainment, vendors and free give aways.  All proceeds benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation, and your contribution will be fully tax deductible.
