ABOUT THE RUN
Run for fun AND transform lives with the “Security 5K” at the next ISC West Expo to be held April 6 – 8, 2011. This first of a kind event is hosted in Las Vegas for the Security industry and is a joint collaboration between United Publications, publishers of Security Systems News and Security Director News, Reed Exhibitions, proprietors of ISC West; and Mission 500.
THANKS to over 300 registered runners for our inaugural 2010 race, we raised more than $30,000 and all proceeds generated will sponsor 90 children for a full year by providing food, water, education, health care – and most importantly HOPE! This also takes our Mission 500 total to over 360 children.
Congratulations to ALL of our fundraisers too! Jim Hoffpauir took the honors as top fundraiser with $2,370.00, followed by Mark Pickett with $1805.00 and Caleb Simonyi-Gindele with $1,095.00. Next year with the benefit of more time we can hopefully far exceed what was raised this year which was over $7000.00 from the individual pages.
Registration for our 2011 Security 5K run will open in October 2010 and runners will be able to register for a nominal $30 fee and all proceeds raised will go to charity.
Mission 500 has already raised over $150 000 from sponsors and supporters from the Security Industry. For only $1 a day you can help feed, educate and cater to a needy child’s health care needs.
