Thank you for visiting the MissMalaprop.com Charity Fundraiser page.  During the first seven months of 2007 we raised a total of $495 for three awesome New Orleans-based charities via Firstgiving.  You can see the original Green Project fundraiser here or find out more about the MissMalaprop.com fundraisers here.

I picked The Green Project & Recycle for the Arts because of their commitment to sustainable building and creative recycling.  The Green Project is an organization based here in New Orleans that salvages and recycles building supplies and other materials. Their work, which provides low cost building materials, has become particularly important as this area works to rebuild following Hurricane Katrina. Recycle for the Arts is a subset of The Green Project which offers recycled art workshops and provides recycled art materials to local artists, schools, and art programs.
