Hi Everyone!
I have an update on Zippy and my fundraising efforts.
Zippy: I've uploaded a new photo of Mr. Zippy taken on 9/6/09 at a PetSmart adoption event. Zippy sure is looking good with his little yellow ribbon! He has gained weight, has a coat that is much improved, can now 'sit' for his food bowl and his housebreaking is running 95% positive. Since that event he has met his soon to be forever family! He will be adopted on September 23, by a doctor and his retired school teacher wife! They don't have any other animals so Zippy will get all their attention AND from the grandkids! He is a very lucky dog and I feel good about his future care. Zippy was my 13th foster dog in less than 5 years.
Fundraising: Many thanks to those of you contributing...you will be given a special star in your crown along with my undying gratitude! A few of you are even adopters of one of my previous 12 fosters. I've made some good progress with donations. I even received an anonymous donation from someone I don't know! She said she adopted her basset from the Heddins Puppy Mill 4 years ago and she was glad they were caught! One of you kind people must have forwarded my plea on to her for consideration...thank you.
With the day of the Shuffle this Saturday, September 19, I am little over half way to my goal of $750 (total Firstgiving and off line stands at $390). It's not too late to make a tax deductible donation, no matter the amount, and help a worthy cause at the same time! Let's not forget it's tax deductible. The donations can be made on the Firstgiving webpage with a credit card, or a check payable to NTBHR and mailed to me at:
2324 Suntree Lane
Flower Mound, TX 75022
Thanks to all of you from this basset lovin' heart! Paws crossed I make my goal!
Ahrrrrrroooooo,
Mittie
