Mocha's Story:
About a month ago, Mocha was rescued from the Maricopa County Animal Control Center. Mocha is a 5 month old German Shephard mix with no back ground information, not even a name. She had been on the euthanasia list because she had a cold and her left front leg had been previously fractured which caused her to limp
When she arrived at her new foster home, she sat in the living room and literally did not move; didn't eat, didn't interact with the other dogs. There was no response from her. We became seriously concerned about her wellbeing and took her to a vet for bloodwork.
She would hide when her name was called, or when we would walk towards her. About a week into the foster, Mocha started to come around a bit.
When the foster family found a favorite pair of dress shoes chewed up, we knew the "puppy" in her was coming out.
Now, Mocha runs around the house and plays with her favorite furry friends like a normal puppy. She is still a bit shy sometimes, but she has broken out of her shell!
Please help us raise money for the surgery for her left front leg. She needs to have the surgery in order to be able to live without pain and function like any dog deserves to function.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
