My personal message:

Thank you for visiting Matt and Molly's personal fundraising page dedicated to Starlight Children’s Foundation!  As many of you know, Molly has just moved to Boston to be with Matt in early July.  We are very excited to start this new chapter in our lives and have decided to run in the Falmouth Road Race August 9th to help raise funds for this wonderful organization.

Starlight is close to both our hearts. Matt belongs to Starlight New England's Volunteer Leadership Council, while Molly has been a volunteer for many years assisting children and families at events. This year we are running together in the Falmouth Road Race to demonstrate our commitment to the cause, support this phenomenal charity and so Molly can whip Matt into shape before the short lived New England summer comes to a close.

More than 10,000 runners will gather in Woods Hole, MA for the 2009 race, including many of the world's elite, though the essence of the event remains a fun run. Back-of-the-pack joggers (Molly & Matt) share the road with the best, the race is one of the showcase events in distance running and woven into the fabric of summer on Cape Cod, like Fourth of July fireworks and Labor Day weekend cookouts

Starlight is an important resource for all seriously ill children and their families. They break up the isolation and fear children face when hospitalized, provide programs online to connect children facing similar illnesses and brighten the entire family’s day with events and activities in our community. Starlight is there from the moment of a child’s diagnoses throughout the journey of their illness.

We were going to have a bake sale but Molly is still training Matt on how to use the oven, so we thought this approach would be best. Donating through Firstgiving is simple, fast and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to support Starlight’s fundraising efforts today!

Many thanks for your support.

And with our help Starlight will remain a source of hope, joy, and empowerment for children.
