Over the past 10 years, many of you have been incredibly generous in your annual support of our efforts to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. My personal goal has always been to help bridge the gap between the hope and reality of finding a cure.
As you may recall, my younger brother (Michael) died from a form of pediatric cancer. During Michael's illness and since his death (over 25 years ago), I often have felt helpless. I wanted to do more and thus selfishly, my participation in these fundraising events have let me feel less helpless and somewhat more helpful in finding a cure. I thank you for giving me this gift. On July 11th at the 7th annual GSQ, I am hoping to shed the winter layer by completing a 100 miles while Bob, Michael and Colin will again provide sag wagon support to all the riders.
We would be grateful for your continued support. Your donation will help the talented doctors and nurses, accomplished researchers and dedicated staff who are committed to offering leading-edge treatment and compassionate care to children battling cancer at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
To date, the GSQ has raised over $600,000 with 100% of monies raised funding pediatric cancer research. With your support, the GSQ hopes to raise this total to over $700,000. Thank you for being so generous to me and the GSQ!
Wishing you much peace and good health,
Bonnie, Bob, Michael and Colin Monahan
