Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) strives to support the community in two ways:
1) MESA seeks to reduce the incidence of sexual violence in Boulder County by providing prevention education to youth and adults
2) MESA supports victis of sexual assault as well as their friends and family through the provision of direct client services such as crisis intervention, case management, referrals, and medical and criminal justice advocacy. MESA's 24-hour crisis and intervention hotline is the cornerstone of our client services program.
Through the support of the community, MESA has been able to expand it's programs each year to benefit serve the community. in 2006, a spanish hotline was added and in 2007, we expanded the number of hotline volunteers that could serve the Latino community.
And there is much more to do for the statistics have not changed and research indicates that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 17 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. Your contribution will help MESA work towards changing those numbers and building a world free of sexual violence. 1 in 4 means someone you know.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
