This page will be kept open and contributions can still be made to this site until this Friday, April 6th. So, keep 'em coming! :)
*************************************************
On Saturday, March 31st, we participated in the 4th Annual Urban Walk for Haiti, a community event in Cambridge, MA aimed at raising money and awareness for Haiti through the Boston-based organization, Partners in Health (PIH).
This event provided a unique chance for those in the New England area to take part in a local activity that directly benefits our beloved Haiti, a poverty-stricken nation incapacitated by lack of basic health, educational and social resources and sound infrastructures. This Walk affords us the opportunity to support PIH, a remarkable organization whose model services are saving lives and improving the quality of life to the most vulnerable in Haiti.
The funds collected will help support the health initiatives of world-renowned Dr. Paul Farmer, physician, researcher, author and co-founder of PIH, whose innovative community-based programs and services provide essential public health assistance and tools to the most impoverished areas in Haiti. In the last two years, 100% of the funds raised by the Urban Walk for Haiti have helped equip operating rooms, provide community health education and medicine, construct reliable shelter, encourage water/food programs and raise the standard of living. ANY amount you can donate is appreciated. $1, $5, $20...it all adds up! Just to give you an idea of what even $100 can do, please click HERE.
This page will be kept open and contributions can still be made to this site until this Friday, April 6th. So feel free to pass the word along to others!
Again, we thank you, our online friends, for your support and for contributing towards the goal of bringing comprehensive care to communities in need.
Sincerely,
mystique, StanTheMan, and friends
