NAMI Billings provides support, education, and advocacy for people with mental illness, their family members, and the general public. Our services are provided at no charge, and we receive no government support. We are supported entirely by the local community. All ride proceeds, above event costs, are used to continue and expand the programs and services of NAMI Billings.
"Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of but
stigma shames us all." Bill Clinton
Mental illnesses are brain disorders that can be treated. The negative connotations and false assumptions about mental illness may be as harmful as the disease itself; barriers to recovery are lack of education and stigma. NAMI Billings fights against stigma and provides respect, understanding, encouragement and hope. We are committed to providing a supportive environment and exceptional educational experiences to improve quality of life and promote wellness.
