Northwest Community Action Partnership needs your help!

The Northwestern region of Nebraska is one of the most poverty stricken regions in the United States.  16.4% of the children in our congressional district live in poverty.  Sadly, children that experience poverty are more likely to experience other risk factors, like child abuse or neglect.

Many of those who are impoverished want to help themselves.  In fact, many have jobs with a steady income.  Unfortunately, the income doesn't meet their needs.  Many people don't have the training or resources available to improve their lives.  That is where Northwest Community Action Partnership comes in.

Northwest Community Action Partnership (NCAP) provides programs that lift individuals, families and neighborhoods out of poverty.  NCAP feeds the homeless, provides public transportation, insulates homes to help people keep their energy costs down, provides emergency rent and utility assistance payments, helps low income individuals prepare their tax returns, provides public internet access, educates children, keeps seniors involved in their community and operates a Foster Grandparent program.

More can be done.  More must be done to eliminate the poverty that limits the future of so many good people.  We must commit to investing in positive futures for everyone.  Investing in the future involves working on behalf of all age groups and generating opportunities for everyone to become engaged and valuable members of our communities.
