Bowl-a-Rama 2!

NDC's volunteers, staff, and friends are working hard improving local neighborhoods - now it's time for them to play hard - and raise money for a great organization! On September 23 we are holding "Bowl-a-Rama 2", a bowling fundraiser to support the design and planning services that we provide to communities throughout Baltimore and Prince George's County.

To make a donation, go to the bottom of the page or visit www.firstgiving.com/ndcmd/ndc-bowl-a-rama-2 and look for your favorite bowler or team.

Last year, we had 37 bowlers and nearly 140 donors who helped us raise $7,000. This year we have twice the lanes and are trying to raise $10,000 - we hope that you can help!

In particular, we want to thank Nicole Lacoste Folks and Harriett Roberts Harvey, who were co-chairs for last year's event, and Cyclops Books for donating two of our bowling prizes.

About the Neighborhood Design Center

The Neighborhood Design Center provides pro-bono design and planning services to community groups and non-profits for projects that improve neighborhood livability, sustainability, and economic viability.

Since 1968 we have used the power of design to save historic structures, replace unsafe playgrounds, improve commercial districts, create neighborhood revitalization plans, and reclaim vacant buildings and lots. These projects have engaged thousands of people in grassroots efforts, helped community leaders become educated participants in community development, and attracted millions of dollars of new investment in communities throughout Baltimore and Prince George’s County.

To learn how you can join NDC as a volunteer, or to talk with a staff person about a neighborhood project, visit www.ndc-md.org.
