John Driscoll, Dennis Pellecchia, Toby Ahern and Karen Peluso will each play 54 holes of golf starting at dawn on Monday, July 6th. The Golf-a-thon will take place at Ferncroft Country Club and the NF Golf Team is taking on this gruelling challenge to raise funds and awareness of neurofibromatosis.
David, who is pictured on this page is just one of the many NF kids who have inspired the team. David has a rapidly growing tumor on the right side of his face. Not only is the tumor visible on the outside, it is growing on the inside affecting his jaw, spine and shoulder. David's family had to schedule surgery to debulk the tumor over this past winter because it is really important for David to return to Camp New Friends in July. David has met many friends at NF Camp and it is a place where nobody asks 'what is wrong with him". He looks forward to going to camp all year long!
Along with promoting research and creating awareness of NF the funds raised by the NF Golf Team will be used to provide scholarships for kids like David to attend NF Camp.
