My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

We adopted Coty to a wonderful lady last year, but she has run into hard times due to a domestic abuse situation.  She was forced to move into a small apartment and is now working two jobs to make ends meet.  She has called us for help in finding Coty a new home because she just cannot afford to keep him, especially with a Pet Deposit of $400.  He has been affected by the extreme stress of the situation and because she is working so much now, he is not getting the attention he needs and this in and of itself is causing a lot of the stress.  His mommy loves him so much and is having a very difficult time coming to terms with letting Coty go, but she knows that it is in both of their best interests and is surrendering Coty back to New Hope Cattle Dogs.

Coty is a special needs boy. When he was a puppy, he had Distemper and because of the antibiotic that the previous owners used to treat the disease, he sustained severe damage to the enamel on his teeth.  His teeth are brown and without the protection of enamel, as he ages he will need special care.  The Distemper itself caused some minor development delays, but nothing major.  We suspect that he had Distemper when him and his brother were thrown over the 6 foot fence into the yard at Pinal Animal Care & Control last fall.  He was very sick and we did our best to get him well, but the damage had already been done previously.

He has been limping lately so New Hope Cattle Dogs paid for a full blood panel to make sure that he did not have Tick Fever or Valley Fever and everything came back negative.  He still needs X-rays to determine why he is limping, but we do not have the funds for this right now.  He will also need to be on supplements to help him get healthy.

New Hope Cattle Dogs is overflowing with unwanted and abandoned Australian Cattle Dogs right now due to ‘puppy season’.  We recently lost our boarding contract with Canine Country Club because another rescuer was abusing the service and the MASH unit that we use as a backup has been full for months because rescuers are not releasing the space.  This leaves us with nowhere to put Coty because all our foster homes are full as well.  We need to move him by Thursday, 5/18/06 into a foster home that is willing to keep him until a suitable home can be found.  He needs a stable environment with people who are patient and loving to help him get through this trying time.  The stress from the move into the apartment and not getting the exercise and attention he needs has caused him to revert back to having a few accidents in the apartment.  He was completely potty trained with a dog door before the move and had wonderful house manners.

Coty is great with cats, other dogs and children.  He is a very sensitive dog that reacts to the stress of the environment and a less active home would probably be best for him. He has gone through so much in his short life of under one year.  Please help Coty!  If you can offer your home and heart to him, email New Hope at Shannon@newhopecattledogs.com or call 602-690-8374.  Time is running short for Coty.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our fundrasier.  We appreciate any help you can offer us.  No amount is too small.  We have been trying to build up our bank account to be able to cover these emergencies, but it seems like there is always a dog in need.  Please see our website for more details and information about our group.
