Hi there~ My name is Tori, and at 7 1/2 years old I'm taking the time to stop and smell the flowers. You see, as a 4 month old pup I was surrendered to the Berkshire Humane Society where my mom works. She rescued me from a life that wasn't too good to start. But the past 7 years have certainly made up for it because I have spent that time in a loving, lasting home. Some of my other furry friends aren't as lucky and they are still waiting for that forever home to find them as well. While they are loved and cared for at the shelter that is no replacement for the happiness they can find in the home of a new family. That is why I am here to ask for your support. During a time of economic downfall it has become difficult to raise the funds that the Berkshire Humane Society so desperately needs. These funds help care for the animals that are there patiently waiting for that new special someone to walk through the door. Whether it be the dogs in the kennel like I once was; the cats like my brother Bug and the various small animals like my rabbit brother Bristol . They all wish and hope for someone to adopt them like my mom did with us.

Although I won't be participating in this year's walk (as my mom is headed to New Hampshire to watch some famous race cars, boy what I wouldn't  give to go for  ride in one of THOSE cars! GO FOR A RIDE?!)  I would still like to help my furry friends back at the shelter by asking you for a small donation. I know times are tough but any little bit helps and know that your donation goes a long way to help enrich the life of an animal less fortunate than myself.
