Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! In memory of my son, Brock, who passed away in May of 1989, I have once again chosen to serve as a VIP for the 2008 Easter Seals Celebration Day, which will air live from Central Park in downtown Decatur on Tuesday, April 8th from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on WAND-TV and WSOY Radio. Brock greatly benefited from the programs that Easter Seals provided after he was seriously hurt in a car accident in August 1983 that took the lives of my parents and my brother.
Celebration Day will be aired live from Central Park in downtown Decatur and will feature Easter Seals client stories, check presentations, Brian Byers from WSOY Radio and WAND-TV personalities.
As many of you are aware, Easter Seals is a non-profit community based health agency dedicated to helping people with disabilities achieve their maximum potential for independence. Why is the VIP program so important? Easter Seals provides year round programs and services to children and adults with disabilities.
This year, we are raising funds to support Easter Seals Family Assistance Fund bedgeted for more than $100,000 this fiscal year. The Family Assistance Fund takes the financial burden from families when they have no private health insurance or limited coverage or do not have any resources to pay for important therapy services.
As a VIP, I have made a personal commitment to rasie $500. With the help of friends like you, I can raise more than the pre-determined goal. You can help by making your donation through this website. It is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. You can also donate by sending your contribution directly to Easter Seals, 2715 N. 27th Street, Decatur, IL 62526 or to my attention at Regions Morgan Keegan Trust, PO Box 1278, Decatur, IL 62523. When sending donations directly to Easter Seals please note that I am the VIP.
I look forward to hearing from you. Together we can help Easter Seals enhance the quality of life for children and adults with disabilites in Central Illinois.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
