Hi, I am Norah Louise Johnson and thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page. My 13 year old son Sam is moderately autistic. Together, our family enjoys running, movies and travel. For our summer vacation this year we visited Nevada (Las Vegas, Lake Mead and the Red Rock canyon). Sam especially liked the Manhattan Express roller coaster at New York New York.
I am working on my Nursing PhD dissertation study at Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The title of my study is: "Understanding relationships of parenting stress and health related quality of life for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder".
When I am not writing my dissertation I like to run all distances, including marathons so I decided to partner with the Organization for Autism Research (O.A.R.) and participate on their team in the Marine Corps Marathon. Please help fund autism research by donating here.
92.5% of your donation goes to OAR, while 7.5 % goes to firstgiving. On a $50 donation, firstgiving receives $3.75 and the OAR receives $ 46.75.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
