Northrise University is a nationally accredited, private, Christian, university located in Ndola, Zambia in Sub-Saharan Africa. The school was founded in 2003 by Dr. Moffat and Mrs. Doreen Zimba.
While Northrise offers a nationally accredited education that is founded upon Christian principles, the university accepts students of all faiths. Enrollment for 2010 was 225 students, with a faculty ratio of 13:1. Total graduates of Northrise University through 2009 were 89.
In 2009 Northrise began partnerships with Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, USA to enhance the academic experiences of students and faculty at the three universities.
Northrise has established both a working farm and a technology business to employ graduates and generate future revenue to support university operations.
Northrise believes that thier mission and priviledge is to "Empower the people of Zambia, One Student at a Time!"
