  Walk  for Vision

Make a difference in someone’s life one step at a time! 

One of the goals of the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation’s Support  Group is to raise money for uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease research. The “walk” is a 5k or 3.2 mile around the Charles River in Boston . The event will be followed by a wonderful lunch at the Royal Sonesta Hotel ( in Cambridge)  and Support Group Meeting.

 Please join the Uveitis/OID Support Group!  All proceeds will benefit research related to uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease at the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation.

ATTENTION FUNDRAISERS:

RAISE THE MOST MONEY AND..... Enjoy a spectacular week on one of the "best beaches" in Florida, Crescent Beach, in Siesta Key, Florida.  This adorable bungalow sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.   Just take a few steps out of the house and you are standing on beautiful white sand.  This is a fabulous beach for families.  This home is located directly on the beach and has all the necessary amenities any family would need…including a pool.  Dates to be determined. Airfare not included.

Why this cause?  Destructive inflammatory diseases (OID) of the eye, such as uveitis, are the third leading cause of preventable blindness in developed countries.  Our goal of the walk is to stop blindness from OID/UVEITIS and find a Cure.

The Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation is a 501c(3), not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization based at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgury Institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Our mission is to find cures for ocular inflammatory diseases, to erase the worldwide deficit of properly trained ocular immunologists, and to provide education and emotional support for those patients afflicted with ocular inflammatory disease.
